Due to our sucess and growth we are currently recruiting for the following positions at our HQ in Southampton, UK. St. Cross have been manufacturing cable assemblies for over 30 years, and today supply to F1, marine, audio, aerospace, and military to name a few.

All successful candidates must be motivated to work both as a team and on their own at times. They must not only possess great dexterity skills, but also have a fine eye for detail. They must also be proficient in the use of tooling and have knowledge of MS Windows and Office software programmes.

Cable Assembly Operators

Skills required: 

  • Ability to understand drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience in cable assembly practices
  • Experience of soldering
  • Experience in crimping, machine and hand
  • Experience of electro mechanical assembly
  • Willingness to learn and progress
  • A competitive rate of pay will be offered to the sucessful candidates, depending on experience and ability.

 

Experienced Wiring Harness Builders - Motorsport

Skills required: 

  • Ability to understand and interpret complex electrical circuit drawings
  • Manufacture of system 25 wiring assemblies (industry standard)
  • Contra helically laid wiring
  • Use of system 25 products (heat shrink moulded parts and tubing)
  • Splicing (joining) of wires, both solder and crimp
  • Termination of connectors (Mil-Spec / Autosport connectors)

A competitive rate of pay will be offered to the sucessful candidates, depending on experience and ability.

Trainee Wiring Harness Builders - Motorsport

Successful candidates will be trained to manufacture complex looms that are widely used in various motorsport, aerospace and marine applications. These include F1, NASCAR, MotoGP, WSB, BSB, and various Ocean Racing vessels.

Full training will be offered in the following areas:

  • Interpretation of complex electrical (schematic) circuit drawings
  • Manufacture of system 25 wiring assemblies (industry standard)
  • Contra helically laid wiring looms
  • Use of system 25 products (heat shrink moulded parts and tubing)
  • Splicing (joining) of wires, both solder and crimp
  • Termination of connectors (Mil-Spec / Autosport connectors)
  • CAD software
