St Cross Electronics has manufactured cable assemblies and wire harnesses in Southampton for over 40 years, supplying customers in defence, aerospace, medical, motorsport and marine. Those sectors set the standard we work to, and what follows is the evidence.

Quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management. All three are UKAS accredited, certified by ISOQAR, and audited twice a year. We run them as a single integrated management system rather than three separate ones, so quality, environmental and safety decisions are made together.
Our ISO approval runs back to BS5750 Part 2 in 1990.

We are registered on the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register, the shared pre-qualification register used across aerospace, defence, security and space. One assessment, visible to every buyer on the register, which means you can verify us without running your own audit.

Certified carbon neutral since 2022. Reaching it meant auditing our energy use, business travel, employee commuting and parcel volumes to establish a full carbon footprint, which we now track as a business KPI. We generate on site through solar panels with 16kWh of battery storage, and export the surplus to the grid.

The RoHS directive restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Our statement covers the RoHS 3 recast, 2015/863/EU, and all ten restricted substances, including the four phthalates added in 2019.
We buy from RoHS approved suppliers, monitor stock for compliance, and obtain technical specifications and certificates on receipt of new products.
We complete the Responsible Minerals Initiative Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, currently version 6.5. If your supply chain team has asked you for a CMRT, this is it.
More broadly, we are committed to complying with the laws and regulations of the countries we operate in, and to evaluating our business practices against the interests of our customers, employees, suppliers and the communities we work in.
REACH, meaning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, controls the safe use of chemicals across the EU, and operates in parallel in the UK.
St Cross Electronics is classified as a downstream user. We are not a manufacturer or importer of chemicals, so we have no duty to register our products, but we do have a duty of care to pass REACH information to our customers. None of our products contains a Substance of Very High Concern from the ECHA Candidate List. Where a supplier notifies us that a substance we use may contain an SVHC above the 0.1% threshold, we tell you.
The EU WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC places responsibility for disposing of waste electrical and electronic equipment on the producers of that equipment.
As a supplier of interconnect products, meaning components and sub-assemblies, St Cross Electronics does not directly produce EEE as defined in WEEE Annex 1A. Those producer obligations therefore do not attach to us.
We are committed to understanding modern slavery risks and to ensuring there is no modern slavery in our organisation or our supply chains, which includes our suppliers, our customers, and any third party we deal with. Our policy sets out what modern slavery is, the warning signs our staff are trained to recognise, and how anyone can report a concern.
